My journey began in climate and soil science at the University of Reading, followed by postgraduate studies in environmental policy, law and economics at the University of Southampton. From there, my work expanded across Europe, the US, Asia Pacific, LATAM and the UK, spanning roles in global banking and investment, technology, global consultancy, charity and entrepreneurial ventures. I’ve advised governments, global banks, IGOs, multilateral development banks, foundations, high‑net‑worth individuals, and investment houses. I've worked with a broad range of stakeholders in my career including Royalty, politicians, celebrities, children, and even animals!
I ideated and co‑founded Tribe Impact Capital - one of the world’s leading impact wealth managers and a certified B Corporations - over 10 years ago and have helped grow it into a successful $bn (by AUM) business. Why did I think the world needed Tribe? There was a systemic absence of wisdom, service and purpose. Wealth was moving but in a system that was extracting value in the full knowledge of the consequences. Wisdom was absent by design. Planetary and community insolvency was coded in. Clients who did want to move money with wisdom, aligned to their values, had no home. And the system had no purpose other than accumulation and control. It served the few rather than the whole. Tribe's first design principle was to be that, that the system was not - an ecosystem that moved capital in service of life on Earth. Put simply, investing to avoid insolvency.
Service is important to be. It's part of my DNA. Inspired by my mother’s 40+ years of volunteering with disabled children and horses, I’ve always believed that a life well lived is one in service of something greater than self. Alongside my commercial work, my charity work and board service are a natural extension of that belief.
Over the last 18 years, I’ve served on the boards of The Blue Cross, Big Issue Invest, and the Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise, and currently serve as Co‑Chair of B Lab UK and on the Global Board and Investment Committee of ClientEarth. I am also a member of the Global Steering Group of the Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI). I also advise Greenheart Consulting and have been an advisor to Ocean Plastic Leadership Network (OPLN) and the development council of FaithInvest.
